"Black Tulip is a family drama combining a large dose of (supernatural) tension with romance. "

From Monday, 30 March, the entire season of the new quality series ‘Black Tulip’ will be available to watch exclusively from Videoland. This is the first large-scale Dutch series to be made specially for Video-on-Demand, as well as being shot in Ultra HD quality. 'Black Tulip’ is a family drama combining a large dose of (supernatural) tension with romance. The cast includes top actors such as Huub Stapel, Linda van Dyck, Anna Drijver, Benja Bruijning, Roeland Fernhout and Marcel Musters.

‘Black Tulip’ centres around the changing fortunes of two families from the Dutch ‘Bulb-growing Region.’ A mysterious accident in the past has made the families arch enemies: an ancient feud fed and kept alive by a race to achieve the ultimate goal: being the first to produce a black tulip. Piece by piece, the mystery from the past unravels. Nothing is what it seems, but one thing is for sure – there are important choices to be made concerning life and death, love and hate, holding on and letting go, harmony and chaos…

The series consists in total of 14 main characters played by Huub Stapel, Linda van Dyck, Anna Drijver, Benja Bruijning, Roeland Fernhout, Carolien Spoor, Pim Lambeau, Puck van Stijn, Raymond Thiry, Marcel Musters, Renee Fokker, Gijs Naber, Willem Voogd and Abbey Hoes. This week, Hoes was launched as a ‘Shooting Star’, an up-and-coming European film talent, at the Berlin International Film Festival.

‘Black Tulip’ consists of 12 episodes of 50 minutes each and was produced by NL Film, makers of the series ‘Penoza’ and the film ‘Men in the City’.
